Every blog owner loves the days when he or she gets a lot of traffic. But some blog owners hate writing articles. There are 3 things that are an effect of not writing articles on your blog.
1. Google, and other search engines will slowly realize that you do not update your site. This will lead to them putting your site lower and lower for keywords. That is why many webmasters preach “content is king”. If you write a post everyday Google will notice, and give you more “love”. But if you don’t write frequently, or at all, Google will not give you “love”.
2. Your readers will drift away. This is not like the search engine problem, were it is slow and steady. This is more of a fast process. Your readers, if you have any will realize after a week or so what is going on. They may stay connected to your rss feed for about 2 weeks, but after that most of them will unsubscribe. This has happened to me before when I had a blogspot blog. I had 18 readers, and in 2 weeks they wore gone. Just like that.
3. You lose credibility if you start another blog. If you start another blog after the blog that you ditched, many people will be afraid you will ditch again. You will have lost trust with the people that had read your other blog.
Although many people struggle with maintaining a decent level of traffic, some people struggle with even getting traffic. You may be thinking, they do not promote their site, or do seo. But it is a different, the blog has done minor promotion, and some on site seo. But the real problem is the fact that the blog is dead. The definition of dead/death, according to Wikipedia is “death is the cessation of the biological functions that define living organisms. It refers both to a specific event and, particularly in humans… today, where a definition of the moment of death is required” As the definition says, it can refer to a specific event, like a blog, it also says that everything must die, it is required. So what does the definition help you with? The realization that your blog will eventually die, and the fact that a blog could even die.
Whenever someone is sick they go to a doctor. Why not do the same for your blog. Diagnose the problems on your blogs and fix them, just like curing a cold. A useful site to check your sites errors can be found here. Once you type in your site scroll down and read what it says. It is very, very useful. Once you fix all/most of your errors you are in good shape. So you now have gone to the doctor, but you are progressively getting sicker and sicker. So you decide to go to a specialist. The specialist suggest you write 20 articles to post on your blog over the next few weeks.
You keep getting sicker and sicker and you eventually die. But once all people die they get an autopsy. Give an autopsy to your blog, find out what you did wrong. Looking back at your mistakes will help you for the next time you start blogging.
For me, and many other web entrepreneurs making extra cash is always fun, especially when the work is minimal. Linkshowoff.com is 3 different things.
1.Publishers. Publishers use there blog or website to sell links. As they state on their site,”advertisers show off their links on your site through a simple widget and you get payed.
2.Advertisers. Advertisers can spread the word about a site buy buying a link on a popular blog. You can buy on as many websites as you want, there is no limit.
3.Affiliates. Affiliates place a small referral button anywhere on their site. If someone clicks on the button, and then earns $3 you get payed $3. Refer 20 people, half of them earn $3, then you get $30 for doing nothing.
What do the widgets look like?
Take a look on my sidebar. The widgets are sleek, and simple. They are not like other link showing widgets that have an annoying flash, or animation. These widgets do not bother your readers, or any of your visitors.
The pros and the Cons
Pros
~Google will not penalize you for buying links
~You can earn as much as you want
~Can be used on blogger blogs, and other blogs with sub domains
~Referral system
Cons
~$3 fee for every pay out
~Payout is $10
~Payments only sent via Paypal
~Links can be disapproved
Summary
It may not be the best link sharing service out there, but it does have the potential to be. With some on site seo, and some hardwork, linkshowoff.com will become a giant in the online business world.
Where Have I been?:
I would like to apologize guys. It has been 4 days to many without a post. I have been busy with sleep overs, parties, and Call of Duty 4. I was getting unfocused.
What is in store?:
Tomorrow I am writing a paid review for linkshowoff.com. Tuesday is going to be a post about staying on track. Wednesday will be a post about bringing your blog out from the dead. Thursday will be a post about Why not posting articles ruins traffic. That is the plan for the next couple days. Some hard core, sit down writing. No interferences. Just me and Microsoft Works.
When is motivation needed?:
On most blogs that sustain high levels of traffic there is fresh content everyday. On my blog I try to do the same. But when you loose focus you need to have someone there to keep you pushing through it. For example, when you are bench pressing (which I was today) you have to push to get the bar back up. But when you put 20 pounds of weight on each side you have to push even harder to get the bar up. Everyday you have to push yourself to write a half decent post on your blog to get traffic. As many webmasters say, content is king.
The thought came to me when I was on Theuniversitykids blog. I was reading over one of his articles, and he explained how he wrote an eBook, and then sponsored around 500 contests with it. Just doing this made his site gain 1000 back links. So why don’t we go over some of the questions that will need to be answered.
So what should the eBook be about?: Well, if there is something that I am familiar with, it is making money. So I guess it should be about how teens can make money. I think that is to large of a subject, but if I made it like and idea book then it could work. (What I mean is a book where each page has a different idea of how to make money as a teen.) So I have what it is about down.
How long should it be?: I am thinking I will take everything I know and stuff it in here. Hopefully that appeals to some people.
How many contests should I sponsor?: As many as the university kid? Maybe, if I can find enough people that are willing to let me sponsor.
Well guys, I hope this works. For all of my subscribers you will get a free copy of the book, just for subscribing. For non subscribers it will be $10. So, pick your poison.
Ah, today marks the first day of my birthday month, July. So that means it is time to look back at what happended last month.
Site statistics:
2065 visitors Up 1221
3606 page views Up 1864
1.75 pages/visit Down .20
74.4% bounce rate Up 7%
1:34 average time on site Down 45 seconds
65 countries Up 18
47 states Up 5
Backlinks 1200
Expected Page Rank 4
So for site statistics I would say I have done pretty good. But, how about money!

Yep, all that from private ad sales. A total of $69.25. That is a $68 increase from last month. Then you have Adsense. Lets take a look.

$16.57, a $13 improvement. That means, that for last month I made $82.52. So, as you can see my earnings have gone up, a lot. Which gives me the opportunity to do more things with the site. This month was a great one, and I look forward to making next month even better. Look forward to tomorrow, were I will go over my goals for July.
Hey guys, here they are.

Yes, I know he misspelled the sites name, moneymakingguru.com, when it should be moneymakinguru.com I told him to fix that. Anyway, so far my favorites are the bottom 2.(not the middle one.) What do you think? Thanks to SB Designs!
Hey guys. Today I am stuck in a rock and a hard place. I have a choice. Get a logo and header, and t shirts for the blog, or get 3 months of SEO to get my site ranked in the top 20 for 3 chosen keywords. A logo, header, and t shirts would run me around $50-$75. And the SEO $200. The three keywords that I have chosen would be: Make easy money free, Make easy money blog, Make money as a kid. Do you think other keywords would suit me better? Please give me your opinion. Please guys, I am really stuck, I don’t know which one I should choose!!!
Sorry guys, I got caught up in so much stuff over the work week. More or less Yesterday, and the day before that. Anyway. I just wanted to give you guys an update on my $500 project/challenge. As of today I have around $498 left. Only $2 so far. But, better than I would have guessed it would have been by now. I also set up analytics when I started the site, so I have been keeping track of traffic. So far the most visitors in one day has been 62. And the least, 4. I am averaging around 15 a day. Not to good. But I really haven’t done to much promotion. Aside from a little entrecarding. Anyway, I am looking forward to sustaining over 30 unique visitors a day by the next update. Around 1-2 weeks from now.
Also, I would like to shout out to all the visitors that have commented on my blog. I am going to make a huge list and post every one’s name, and link, in a post coming up. All you have to do to be on this list is have over 3 comments on my blog. That is very easy if you ask me. Also… I am going to give away a free ad space for the person that has the most comments. I will make this post in 2 weeks. Good luck.
Thanks,
Zach
